A play Written by Jennifer Brigitte

Chameleon On April 27, 2013, the Manuel Artime Theater will introduce to the public for the first time the works of Jennifer Brigitte. Chameleon, an avante garde transmedia theater experience that evokes the emotions of twin flames enveloped by the furry of rapid lucid dreaming. Their dreams bring back to life their former souls as they fight to escape the purgatory they inhabit as the curse of St. Clementine continues long after her death during the religious prescecutions of the Salem Witch Trials.

Capturing live video art, dance, film, and theater- Chameleon is a whirlwind experience unlike any other project ever seen in Miami. The project is in the preliminary stages and this showcase is to unveil the project into the public eye, artists, promoters, media, and industry subject alike. The tickets will go on sale soon. Price of General Admission is $12.00. The venue is indeed wheelchair accessible for those who do require the neccessary needs.

7:00 PM- Cocktail Hour

At 8:00 PM, the doors will open and the show will start. You may not leave the theater before the first intermission as it is rude to the actors involved. Get there on time as you will not be able to walk inside the theater after 8:00. Respect this as if you were watching a Broadway play.

At 8:50 we will have an intermission and we will resume at 9:05.

Chameleon combines the artistry of stage, film, puppetry, and dance in a story that educates how we become the person we are in this universe through our many reincarnations. It talks about the acceptance of love even after death because love is more potent because even in death, you are still in the memories of those who keep you alive. It also reaffirms that we are born with a twin soul and everyone in this Earth was born with a partner that helps on this journey of self-discovery. Twin flames will never die but live on forever through unbound time. An American travelling funeral home practitioner and his chaplain blind friend impersonate reporters as they meet Morocco’s future Queen, a young reporter bribed by her agency to marry the despot King of Morocco after their initial interview. The tyrant falls in love with the beautiful girl, promising her to love but she soon watches the suffering he causes to his oppressed nation. At an engagement gala honoring the future queen, she meets the funeral practitioner and his loyal best friend. The funeral home practitioner falls in love with the soon-to-be Queen.

Nicholas Osborne and Savannah Lancaster have a transcendental experience as the twin flames are put under hypnosis conducted by the guise of Clementine. As the flames awake in interim, Clementine takes them into Purgatory in order reveal to the lovers what would happen  to them if they never reconnect in this lifetime to mend the karmas of the past. The lovers struggle to find their existence in reality as they escape the fantasies awaiting for their dreams to manifest. Clementine, an enlighten slave connected to the lovers, guides them down the levels of purgatory revealing them the answers to their karmic offering. The lovers are in Purgatory healing their souls from the past. Clementine shows them how reality will be if they never met at all as a result of their karmic disconnection. In the end, Clementine finds the way to the light as she is ready to ascend for she breaks the curse that ties Nick and Savannah together.

For both Nicholas and Savannah, they become an unbearable curse to each other. Savannah is confined to the confusion of what is humanly right or what is spiritually manifested destiny.

During the lovers evolution of universal love, Clementine’s four parables: The Curse of St. Clementine, Confessions of the Angry God, Under the Canvas Skies, and The Crescent’s Crusade, reveal the answers to questions Nicholas and Savannah have been striving to the find the answers to. Their curse of love comes from what is right to the world and what is right to them. The answers lie in the evolution of time and space and the tangible emotions that collide in them.

Chameleon fuses ballet and other dances with space imageries to create the dreamworld that unites the souls of Nicholas and Savannah.
